The group came to visit ECR on the 10th September 2008 as part of their

"Global Challenge Badge".

They came to find out what happens to all the recycling they see leaving the Bring Site Recycling Centre in the car park next to their playground at Shap school.

Quote from the Cub & Scout Leader - John Basnett

"All our Cubs had a great deal of fun learning about ECR, from its small beginnings to its current operation serving the Eden community and beyond, although it has to be said that of all the demonstrations the polystyrene recycling machine was the star on the night".

The picture above shows the bale of polystyrene that the group made during their visit.
