2 Maximise the effectiveness of the organisation's activities in respect of the environment Collecting, handling, storing, sorting, treating, transfer of 'waste' materials to third parties, use of energy, fuel, water, equipment, vehicles, land, labour, buildings and capital 
  1. Introduce new handling systems
  2. Improve vehicle capacity use 
  3. Identify customers for reusable items such as pallets

3 Sustainably grow the organisation, aiming at all times to optimise the activities undertaken in relation to the resources available Dealing with waste more sustainably through the organisation than would have otherwise occurred
  1. Expand the site capacity through more creative methods of working 
  2. Achieve a waste throughput of 4,000 tonnes p.a. by July 2008
