As a Not-for-Profit company, we put sustainability before profitability and endeavour to provide the recycling services that people want rather than just the ones which are financially attractive. The latest initiative is to creatively provide "South Lakeland Recycling" in the South Lakeland area. We rely on our band of willing volunteers but we now have seven employed staff to enable us to provide a reliable and professional service.’ |
All proceeds from our recycling activities go into improving ourfacilities and services and trialing new initiatives (plastics, foil & beverage cartons). We also support schools and community groups by giving out grants from our surplus profits. We have now grown to be able to offer a full range of recyclingservices to assist businesses throughout Cumbria with either acollection service provided by us or they can use the bring to usscheme which was designed around what our customers want. |
